Essential Hot Yoga and The ZenSpot Institute YTT Partnership Program

This program partnership provides our community with an advanced yoga teacher training and life enrichment program, unlike any other that exists in Boise!

The emphasis of our advanced training is on the gross body (see our 3 Structural & Functional Anatomy modules listed below) and on the subtle body (see our Ayurveda module listed below). These 4 modules combined are required for your advanced training. In addition, we will offer other elective modules that you can pick and choose from depending on your interests. All modules are open to everyone.

We have created a program that is accessible for yoga teachers who want to broaden their teaching skills and for yoga practitioners who want to deepen their practice.

Here are some key highlights of the program:

  • Receive in-depth, advanced, quality education with subject-matter experts at affordable prices.
  • No large upfront investment required. Enroll in modules as your wallet and time allows.
  • Jump in on any module to start your training! Most modules are weekend modules (Fri evenings and Sat/Sun) to work around your busy schedule. Don't sweat if you can't take a module this year - the required core modules will be offered every year.
  • Take up to 4 years to complete your advanced training.
  • Complete all your advanced training here locally, or do part of your training internationally

Structural & Functional Anatomy for Yoga Teachers and Students

Structural & Functional Anatomy for Yoga Teachers and Students

In the Structural & Functional Anatomy workshops, students will have to opportunity to study body mechanics and how our bones, muscles and ligaments interacts as it relates to yoga postures. Students will also learn how to work with muscular imbalances, joint dysfunction, pain, and injury. This in-depth training will give teachers the tools to create safe, purposeful and cohesive vinyasa sequences, think critically and teach skillfully. This training is valuable for yoga teachers who want to:

  • Gain confidence in speaking to students about injury prevention and management
  • Grow a one-on-one private instruction clientele
  • Teach yoga to an athletic population
  • Advance knowledge and true understanding of postural cues for both basic and advanced postures
  • Boost sequencing intelligence and sophistication

This training is also valuable for yoga practitioners who want to learn how to prevent or heal their own injuries through yoga.
