Each posture prepares the body for the next, allowing students to gain strength, flexibility, and balance. The heat adds to the physical effort required to do the postures and aids to condition the body. This class is perfect for students who prefer to spend more time in each posture, working on alignment and technique.
Vinyasa represents the synchronization of breath with movement resulting in a seamless and flowing practice that goes far beyond simple stretching. Our All-levels Warm Vinyasa class introduces you to this popular practice, and is renowned for its ability to build strength, cardiovascular health and internal connection through a unique variety of physical postures (asanas). Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher, but you can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work (pranayama). Yin Yoga is a powerful practice that targets tendons, ligaments and fascia within the body. Yin Yoga involves a relaxed practice of floor postures that are held from three to five minutes at a time in order to work deep into the connective tissue around the joints, leaving the student with an overall feeling of lightness, spaciousness and peace. There are far fewer postures (asanas) in Yin Yoga as are found in more active styles, with approximately three dozen postures in total. In general, a yin approach works to promote flexibility in areas often perceived as nonmalleable, especially the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Although Yin Yoga is a more passive practice it can be challenging due to the length of time postures are held. Our Yin Yoga classes are a perfect complement to a more yang or more active style of yoga such as our Power Vinyasa flow.
Hot Sculpt is a warm 60-minute class designed to build both physical and mental endurance, using light weights to add resistance and create long lean muscles. No matter your level, you’ll enjoy total body results in a short period of time. It’s a perfect compliment to your regular yoga practice.
Revitalize the body and restore your nervous system by holding poses supported by the use of props. This is a deeply relaxing style of practice that leaves you refreshed and open. It's about slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching. During these long holds, your muscles relax deeply. It's a completely different feeling from other types of yoga classes since props are used to support your body instead of your muscles. Restorative classes are very mellow, making them a good complement to more active practices and an excellent antidote to stress. Restorative yoga is an excellent opportunity to disconnect from the frenetic activity of daily life. It offers a welcome respite among all the turbulence of life and helps to prepare the mind and body for the inward stroke of meditation and deepened awareness. The slower pace and deep breathing that you get in a restorative yoga class triggers the parasympathetic nervous system. This activation helps to mitigate the effects of the regular fight-or-flight stress response that can be damaging to your physiology and well-being. The overall calming effect on the nervous system sets a deeply relaxing tone for the class that comforts your mind and body down to the cellular level.

Form in yoga depends on your unique body, how feelings inform the body, past injuries, mood and all the things that make us human. During this vinyasa class the student will learn how to flow with form that is appropriate for their bodies. Learn how to use yoga props to "bring the floor closer to you" and provide more ease in postures. Enjoy time to embody the practice with longer holds, more breath awareness and yoga philosophy. EHY Teachers Sean, Libby and Naomi will be rotating weekly to creating space for self discovery, creativity and growth. Plan to attend each week Tuesdays at 9:30 AM at the Broadway studio
